‼️𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗧 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗦𝗔𝗙𝗘𝗧𝗬 𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗥𝗧 𝗕𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝘂𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 We have received reports of a scam involving individuals claiming to be employees of the Municipality, sending WhatsApp messages to inform you that they will be visiting your property to disconnect services. 👉𝗣𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘 𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗘: 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗜𝗦 𝗔 𝗦𝗖𝗔𝗠 The motive behind this scam is currently unknown but may be an attempt to extort money or gain access to your property. 🔒 IMPORTANT INFO FOR RESIDENTS: • You will not be notified of disconnections via WhatsApp or casual SMS. Municipal disconnection notices follow formal, written procedures. • Do 𝗡𝗢𝗧 allow unknown individuals claiming to be from the Municipality onto your property. Even if they present identification, be cautious — fake IDs can be used. • Block and report suspicious numbers immediately on WhatsApp. • If anyone arrives and insists on access, call your private security provider or SAPS immediately. 📞 In case of an incident or if you feel threatened, please report it immediately to SAPS 10111 or via the ECPF Emergency channel or your Security Company. Reduced water pumping due to power supply problems at Rand Water Zuikerbosch affecting Palmiet system supply. Areas experiencing low pressure to no water include Bedfordview, Essexwold, Sunnyrock, Elandsfontein, Klopperpark, Harmelia, and Morninghill in Edenvale and City of Ekurhuleni.
