Members of the Gauteng Traffic Police High Priority Crime Investigation Unit (HPCIAU), in collaboration with the Soweto Flying Squad, Sedibeng Tracking Team and Underguard Specialised Investigations, recovered a stolen vehicle during a joint operation. Following information received about a silver Ford Wildtrak with Free State registration plates, officers were alerted to suspicious individuals who were allegedly removing the vehicle’s door panels and dashboard. Members immediately proceeded to the identified location, where they found a vehicle matching the description. Upon their arrival, the vehicle had been abandoned. The owner of the vehicle was contacted and confirmed that the vehicle had been stolen in Crown Mines. #GrowingASaferGauteng
