Michelle Goosen: POWER OUTAGE UPDATE – CHELSEA-LORRAINE SUBSTATION Sunday, 6 September 2026 The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality’s Electricity and Energy Directorate wishes to inform residents of an unplanned power outage affecting Lorraine and surrounding areas. The Chelsea-Lorraine No. 2 132kV circuit breaker (CB), Lorraine 132kV Bus Section No. 1 and Transformer T1 11kV circuit breaker have tripped, resulting in an interruption to the electricity supply. 📍 AFFECTED AREAS: • Lorraine • Surrounding areas Operators are currently attending to the fault. Further information will be communicated as it becomes available. The Municipality apologises for the inconvenience caused and thanks affected residents for their patience and understanding.
